Hey Lady, what's this all about?

We do improv with a difference.

Hi folks. I teach adventures in Improv theatre to the performer/wannabe performer out there. That is, we explore ideas and train in performance skills that will make you a great improviser.

We play around with things I've learnt from some of the great teachers & schools in Australia & overseas, but my agenda is always focused on better listening, connecting, being present to what's happening now, playfulness and discovery; anything that gets you the improviser, out of your head and into your body & heart. Have a lookie below at the classes and hop on board!

Circle Song - 1 day Improvised vocal music making workshop

Click to book!

Nelson singers & adventurers,

Want to loosen up, get creative and sing freely with other people in a fun, supportive group?

I'm running my 1 day Improvised vocal music making workshops very soon. I'm very excited about it! It's my first class since my moving to Nelson, New Zealand. Click the button to register.

Come and experience what  is possible with improvised singing in a fun exploration of different techniques for using voice, creating song and making vocal (acappella) music.

Linda will guide us through exercises of group listening & vocal jamming, singing together like one body in resonance.

You will learn easy ways to create melody, how to work with and create harmony, how to hear and accept musical offers and in general, how to have fun playing with your inner Rock Star &/or Funk Miester!

You don't have to be a great singer to attend. Whether you have little experience or a lot, this workshop promises a day of  connection, playfulness, energy and good times!

Saturday  26 November  10-4pm,
Fairfield House, $45

Places are limited so book in advance!

Another great review for 'The Circle of Sound & Story' (NZIF 2016)

Thank you Zoe Jobim from Art Murmurs for the great review!

Thank you so much to Jennifer Alice (Jenn O'Sullivan) for selecting it as part of the 2016 NZIF program, to Darryn Woods for lighting, and the brave, trusting, wonderful cast of Jaklene Vukasinovic, Nicola Pauling, Clare Kerrison, Jonathan Briden, Cale Bain, Matt Hutton, Peter Nordstrand & Isaac Thomas. Thankyou, thank you, thank you. ðŸ’•

"The style of the show feels free and give rise to a beautiful array of real and absurd characters, high stakes and emotionally nuanced stories. Performers have a sixth sense through the cycling motion of the show which engenders listening, connection and succinct story telling..."

"I would highly recommend seeing Circle of Sound and Story... The dual nature of the show is a welcome balance between dialogues and uplifting soundscapes; with a unique format it is a wonderful addition to a festival of spontaneous theatre."
